Braised vegetables

Ingredients

olive oil
1 clove
crushed and chopped garlic

carrot cut into thin slices
1 cup
of snow peas
1 cup
of chopped cabbage

asparagus cleaned and cut into sections

pineapple juice from a can
3 washers
chopped pineapple (from a can)

canned straw mushrooms
2
shiitake (or dehydrated) mushrooms, sliced
1 cup
bamboo shoots rinsed with water

light soy sauce
2 CAS of maple syrup
2 CAS
of hoisin sauce
1 CAT
of salt
4 rounds
of pepper mill
1 CAS
by sambal oelek

Preparation

Step 1
In a casserole over medium heat, add the oil and garlic. Mix well and add, in order, the carrot slices, peas, cabbage, asparagus and pineapple juice. Mix and let cook for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add pineapple, mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Mix everything together.
Step 3
Add all remaining ingredients. Mix and cook for about 10 minutes. Serve with a bowl of rice for a vegetarian meal or as a side dish with a protein of your choice.
