Ingredients
- 1 CAT
- of canola oil
- 1/2 lb
- ground pork
- 1
- leek, finely chopped
- 1 TAC
- finely chopped ginger
- 1 CASE
- of black bean garlic sauce
- 1 CAS
- sugar
- 1 CASE
- soy sauce
- 1 CASE
- cooking wine
- 1 cup
- water
- 1 CASE
- of sambal oelek
- 1
- finely chopped green onion
- 1 CAS
- of crushed Szechuan pepper
- 2 pieces
- soft tofu, coarsely diced
- 1 CAS
- of cornstarch mixed with 2 CAS of water
Preparation
- Step 1
- In a medium hot wok, put the oil.
- Step 2
- Add ground and crumbled pork. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Step 3
- Add leek and ginger.
- Step 4
- Add bean sauce, sugar, soy sauce, cooking wine, water, sambal oelek, onion and pepper. Simmer for one minute while stirring.
- Step 5
- Add the diced tofu. Take a spoonful of hot sauce from the wok and pour over the diced tofu. Simmer for 5 minutes and do not touch the tofu as it may mashed potato.
- Step 6
- Add the starch and water mixture. Simmer for a full minute. Serve hot on a nest of rice. Excellent for lunch boxes the next day.
