Vietnamese marinated vegetables

Ingredients

English cucumber, seeded and cut into sticks
1
small daikon cut into sticks
1
large carrot sticks
2
hot peppers, finely chopped
1 CAS
salt
1 ½ CAS
of sugar
1 t
unseasoned rice vinegar
1 t
water

Preparation

Step 1
Cut vegetables into sticks.
Step 2
Pat each stick dry.
Step 3
Mix the last five ingredients together so that the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Place the sticks tightly packed in a jar with a lid.
Step 5
Pour the dressing into the jar and close tightly.
Step 6
Marinate in the refrigerator for 5 days. Use for Vietnamese sandwiches, spring rolls or to accompany a bowl of rice vermicelli and herbs.
